Smaller children (under 70 pounds) will likely tandem surf with their instructor (riding on the front of their instructors' board) and they are welcome to wear floaties or a lifejacket for extra buoyancy and warmth.

Yes of course! We suggest a private surf lesson for intermediate surfers so we can spend 1 on 1 time progressing your skills. A majority of our students are 1st timers. We recommend taking non-drowsy Dramamine or anti-seasick medication. People have gotten seasick on a surfboard, but it’s preventable.

Everyone has their own learning progression with the sport. We do our very best to set you up for success with the right sized gear and personalized coaching. For some students they get up on their first try and others may take a second lesson to get up. We have a great success rate with our students!
