Our mission is to
empower girls through the sport of surfing

Maui Surfer Girls (MSG) was established in 2001 with a mission to build self-confidence in women through the sport of surfing. We build life-long bonds through our community of strong female role models and have been recognized nationally for our signature girls surf camps. Our surf school caters to small groups, families, and newlyweds. We look forward to sharing the spirit of aloha with you on Maui’s warm waves.

Madison Vierra

My name is Madison Vierra. I am an eighth grader at Maui Waena school, and will be gotting to Maui High next school year. People like to say I’m very short for my age because I’m 4’9. I get a lot of nicknames because of my height such as short stack and shorty. I don’t do much sports except for wrestling, which I started last year in 7th grade.

I enjoy spending time with friends and going on adventures. I recently was part of a community service project to help out the people that live in Hale Makua. Surfing is really fun and relaxing, I get to spend time with my friends and learn something new at the same time. Surfing has taught me to be more comfortable with the water and how to set goals and accomplish them little by little.

Tianna Fernandez

My name is Tianna Fernandez, Im 13 years old and goes to Maui Waena Intermediate School. I used to play soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, and wrestling but not all at the same time. I love surfing!  I started in 2013 with the XOXO girls. I learned so much. I think I would have never surfed if it wasn’t for them. They even gave me a chance to go to a longboarding competition for the first time. It was a fun and scary experience, I got 5th place. Surfing is so much fun, especially with other people and my family!
