Are you thinking of joining us for our winter surf camp, January 14-19, 2018?
After the busy holiday season, wouldn’t you love a week just to yourself, to relax, try something new, and explore Maui with an incredible group of women? Start off 2018 with this restorative and rejuvenating vacation.
Maui Surfer Girls’ women’s camp is wellness retreat with a blend of physical activities and relaxation programs. The company’s focus on women’s empowerment sets it apart from other retreat experiences. “I designed this program for teen girls almost 18 years ago,” explained founder Dustin Tester, “but the need for strong females bonding together is now greater than ever. The response to this program has been fantastic, with almost all of our camps selling out this past year. Whether it’s facing your fears of the ocean, taking your sport to the next level, or just taking a week to reconnect with yourself, there’s something for everyone at this camp,” she continued.
Surf camps are open to beginner and intermediate surfers, with the all-female professional surf coaching team helping campers progress their skills each day. Besides surfing, possible activities include snorkeling, hiking, and massage. Another bonus at our Winter surf camp is that the humpback whales are here! You may spot some breaches while surfing, or hear them during snorkeling!
Oceanfront accommodations, professional surf coaching, a quiver of surfboards, three healthy meals a day, on-island transportation including airport transfers and various activities are all included for $1,950 plus tax per camper ($500 deposit required at booking).

Our Winter Surf Camp coaches will be Gina Mills and Kelly Potts!
Gina is also known as MSG’s “ambassador of aloha”. She goes above and beyond to ensure that all our campers have a top-notch experience. She’s been with MSG since 2011 & has had many roles with us. In addition to coaching at our surf camps, she teaches our surf lessons, and helps run the surf school during our busy summer season. Everyone loves Gina’s approachable and compassionate personality both in and out of the water.Gina Mills shares her graceful style with our campers! Image: Lauren Stirpe
Kelly is a professional surfer, an exceptional surf instructor and a proud prAna ambassador. Kelly’s graceful and innovative long boarding style serves as inspiration for our students, campers and staff. She is highly skilled at teaching the mechanics of long boarding, through video coaching and land-based training. Kelly also spends a lot of time giving back to the community, by hosting events such as her free Kelly Clinics and the annual XOXO event, empowering girls and women to come together through the sport of surfing. Kelly has been a part of the MSG team since 2004.

Winter Surf Camp Itinerary
Our camp includes morning surf lessons from 8am-11am, lunch is at noon, and from about 2-5pm we have four different afternoons planned: snorkel or hike, SUP session in front of camp before or after your massage, a sunset surf session, and our last day is a full day of surfing with a picnic at our beach park.
Our camp is adventure by choice depending on your interest and energy levels that day. Never feel like you have to do what activities we have planned — you can always opt out to relax with a book in a hammock at camp 😉
Evenings are loosely planned after dinner: relax by our campfire, games, and our last night is always a fun surprise.
“It’s a special camp we’ve created here on Maui for women of all ages and abilities”, Dustin shared. “If you have a sense of adventure in our ‘glamping’ ocean front cabins with a group of awesome women and surf coaches, then this could be the camp for you!”
