More about Surfing Moms

Surfing Moms is a national (US-based) 501(c)(3) non-profit that launched in January 2021. They protect their members by covering the cost of public liability and accident insurance. As a non-profit, they can also apply for grants that help grow the organization, support new mothers, promote maternal mental health, and contribute to ocean conservation. Being a non-profit also allows them to offer a tax-deduction incentive to our donors and sponsors. They abide by legal, ethical, and behavioral codes of conduct so members know their children are in trustworthy and safe hands. Their mission is to ease the isolation of modern motherhood by building community among mothers through “surf-care” (their term for the myriad benefits that come with allowing oneself to catch waves and enjoy time in the ocean, guilt-free!).
