Have you ever dreamed of being a surfer girl? Maui Surfer Girls will be hosting its 18th summer of overnight teen surf camps in 2018! We host girls ages 12-17, beginner to intermediate long board surfer girls, even first timers! Girls join us from all around the country and the world for a week of Maui adventures! Oceanfront cabins are provided, along with on-island transportation, daily surf coaching, meals and activities!
Campers share the spacious cabins, with 5 campers and 1 CIT in each cabin. Besides the CITs, our staff includes surf coaches, camp directors, afternoon activity leaders, chefs and a nurse. There are almost as many staffers as there are campers! And the vast majority of our staff are former campers.
Camp opens with a fun opening circle, both on and off the water (weather permitting) and ends with a traditional Hawaiian luau! Activities in between include waterfall hikes, snorkeling, boat rides, arts and crafts and much more! Each Sunday is a community service day, and this summer included Hawaiian taro field restoration, a beach cleanup, and a day protecting the nesting grounds of seabirds along the North Shore.
Summertime is the best time to learn to surf on Maui, with warm water, waves along the south shore (where our camp is located) and gentle, cooling tradewinds! Visitors come from all over the world to take surfing lessons with us!
