Another Surf Camp Review

Here’s another surf camp review via TripAdvisor:

“This was my second time attending the women’s surf camp and my experience was even better the second time around. This is a one of a kind experience that will teach you to surf as well as help you build your confidence and self esteem in an environment where women are supporting and building each other up.

We stayed at Camp Olowalu in cabins about 20 yards from the water where we could hear the waves lapping the shore every night as you fall asleep then catch the picturesque sunrises in the early morning.

Mornings consisted of breakfast, then surf lessons and back to the camp for lunch and various optional activities like hiking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, massages, shopping in Lahaina or napping in a hammock. Most nights we sat around a camp fire and talked and bonded. Our last night we embarked on a mystery adventure which was a **** and MSG dance party. We had a blast although not so sure about everyone else on the **** !

Stand Up Paddling is one of our afternoon activities!

The staff are amazing and truly have a passion for empowering women! I cannot say enough good things about this group of women. From Dustin who owns and operates MSG, Lucy who coordinates, organizes and plans everything, Carol and Kelly our surf instructors , and Joy and Sue who provided us with incredible meals. These women truly made this experience unique and memorable. Carol and Kelly pushed us all to stretch and achieve our surfing goals whether is was getting up on a surf board for the first time, graduating to a hard top or finishing like a pro. Everyone in the group was able to meet and exceed their goals.

Hands down this is truly one of my best vacations ever (don’t tell my husband!!). Despite it being an active vacation with surfing every morning, it was the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever taken. i was able to detox from every day life and its stresses and get some much needed ‘me’ time. I came home exhausted but refreshed and ready to get back to the daily grind.

Our women’s surf camp offers many opportunities for rest and relaxation!

If you have ever wanted to learn to surf, like active vacations and want to feel a little pampered, I would highly recommend Maui Surfer Girls surf camps. You will not be disappointed by Dustin and her team. Their passion for surfing, the ocean, nature and empowering women shines through.”
